Adelle Hemingway personally has been traveling to Nepal for the past 12 years and had the fortunate pleasure of meeting Govinda Poudel in Pokhara in 1998, it was an instant friendship with mutual respect for each other and for his dreams of running his own trekking company, It did not take him too long at all to reach this dream and Himatrek was founded in late 1998. The same year Govinda met Klaus Toepfer who created Himatrek Germany www.himatrek.de.

Himatrek then went on to take thousands of people trekking through the Himalayas. Adelle realized back in 1998 that she would one day get involved in promoting the Himatrek family and here she is today reaching her dreams.

Nepal relies fully on tourism, responsible tourism in taking a local guide and porter this money goes through the whole family network, environmentally aware and conscience trekking, an Australian doctor trained in Altitude Mountain Sickness (AMS) and highly respected reputable trekking agency with Himatrek.
