Everest Trekking

The Himalaya is Sanskrit for 'abode of snows'. Nepal's stretch of the Himalaya includes eight of the world’s highest peaks over 8,000 meters, including Mt. Everest. Known to the Nepalese as Sagarmatha, the world's highest peak is the overpowering attraction which drew in Nepal's first modern mountaineers.

To trek in the Everest region, you fly into Lukla airport which is an experience in itself! It is the most precarious airport strip in the world. Take-off and landing provide quite an adventure, one that you wlll be sure to remember. However, the local pilots have an excellent reputation and the ability to get you in and out safely.

This trek commences at altiutde as you already fly in at an elevation of 2800 metres. All our Everest treks are catered for with acclimatization. Take note that you may need to factor in a couple of extra days if you choose this region as mountain weather can be unpredictable making flight scheduling a problem, in which case you may have to wait it out at Lukla.
